Cornish Festival 2011- A Sell Out!
This years celebration of of Cornwall's distinctive cultural heritage, Lowender Peran, had a Cornish monster of a band headlining, the Launceston born Crowns.
All 21 and recently moved to London to find their fortunes, Crowns have shared stages with Brandon Flowers, Big Country, Gallows and The Pogues. Their set - list pitches traditional Cornish folk songs that were picked up (and punked up) in local pubs against a backbone of original tunes. Their unique combination of salty, sing-a-long anthems and folk-punk party songs are guaranteed to get your sea-legs dancing.
Our thanks go to all the organisers and to all who attended the festival making it a massive success and the best one yet.Our apologies to all those who did not manage to get tickets and who got turned away at the door.
